Terri Batch
Senior International Trade Specialist, U.S. Department of Commerce
Mrs. Terri L. Batch is a Senior International Trade Specialist with the U.S. Commercial Service, the export promotion arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA) in Los Angeles. She advises companies on the U.S. Commercial Service’s virtual services that assist with exporting products and services to new markets. Terri is currently the Director of the GDEI (Global Diversity Export Initiative) and on temporary detail to the MBDA (Minority Business Development Agency) of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Terri has served in many capacities during her close to 20-year tenure. This includes leading the Global Design & Construction Team and serving as the Founding Team Leader for the Global China Team. She is also a founding leader of B-BOLD (Blacks Building Opportunities to Leverage Diversity), an affinity group within the ITA that focuses on creating a more diverse and inclusive organization and prioritizing outreach to minority-and-women-owned businesses.
Terri received a B.S. in Computer Science from Spelman College, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California. In addition, Terri has pursued language training at institutes in Beijing, China and Taipei, Taiwan and speaks Mandarin Chinese. She has traveled extensively throughout China and the Asia region. Terri has a professional designation as a Global Logistics Specialist from California State University Long Beach and is a Certified Global Business Professional from NASBITE.
