Eric Chen

Pastor Eric PS Chen is a community innovator based in the San Gabriel Valley (SGV) focused on the 3 E's of education, engagement, and entrepreneur to bring about innovative change for the community. As a public educator in speech and debate and mock trial, he has coached national champions, state champions, and was a part of leading the Gabrielino Speech and Debate program to rank #1 in the nation. In 2023, the Gabrielino Mock Trial Team was the only mock trial program in LA County to have two teams advance to the top 8 round in the county wide mock trial competition with over 2,000 students and more than 100 schools participating. As a faith leader committed to community outreach and civic engagement, Pastor Eric spearheaded the relief efforts in response to the Monterey Park Mass Shooting and was the de facto White House Liaison when President Biden came to visit the families and survivors in the SGV. As entrepreneur, Pastor Eric is a consultant in multiple sectors such as packaging, logistics, real estate, marketing, and media, working with mom-and-pop small businesses, medium sized enterprises, and Fortune 500 companies such as Nestlé. Most recently, he co-founded Hope SGV, a youth-led, faith-inspired, and faith-based community nonprofit creating multiple pathways to healing, health, and hope in the diverse communities of the San Gabriel Valley.
