Diane Yoo

Diane is CEO and Founder of Fenix Global, a network of senior executive women investment managers in venture capital and private equity firms. Fenix Global previously established an Asian American Investment Managers network to advance underrepresented asset managers. As a venture capitalist, she has a track record of 40+ investments including a unicorn, an investment professional capital raised. She was also Founder of an Asian American women focused fund, a medtech VC firm in partnership with the world's largest medical center innovation center, and former Managing Director of Rice Angel Network. With experience in working with institutional venture capital, she advised top tier institutions on venture ecosystems. As a national thought leader in the venture and entrepreneurship world with experience from startup to IPO, her firm launched an IPO program with the South Korean government agency advising 30 companies per year and tech companies $1-5 billion in market valuation.Diane also serves as founding General Partner to WPA Fund, a $500 million fund focused on investing in African women led investments. Diane also is founder of Identity Unveiled, a media company with a network of over 1200 C-Suite and senior executive AAPI women. Diane Yoo is an investment partner to several Silicon Valley funds including the largest community of women investors in the country and the first FemTech fund in the nation. Diane is national speaker on entrepreneurship, leadership and nationally published for her topics such as "101 for Investors", "Million Dollar Women", "Pitch Perfect". Her publications trended #1 for Venture Capital on Crunchbase. She also published on Bloomberg, Cheddar, Startup Nation, Wall Street Journal, Forbes Business Council. She is also an alumni of Stanford University’s VC Unlocked program, an invite-only investor program for emerging leaders and also received a Kauffman Fellow Venture Deals certificate. She is an MBA graduate of Jesse H. Jones School of Business at Rice University. Diane received an official Resolution from the Texas House of Representatives and was awarded from the City of Houston establishing August 26th as “Diane Yoo Day” for her international achievements in diversity leadership
